Aman Makkar to Transition from Kadence India Leadership After More Than Four Decades in Market Research.
TOKYO, Japan, June 2, 2026 — Global market research agency, Kadence International, today announced that Aman Makkar will transition from his role as CEO of Kadence India effective June 30, 2026, following more than 20 years leading the India business and more than four decades in the market research industry.
As the founding Managing Director and CEO of Kadence India, Aman has played a significant role in shaping both the business and its long-standing presence within the Indian market research industry. Over the past two decades, he has helped establish Kadence India as a respected research and insights partner across the region while building strong relationships with clients, industry peers, and the broader research community.
Market research has been a defining part of Aman's professional life for more than four decades. Before joining Kadence, he spent over 17 years at IMRB, later serving in a leadership role at Research Pacific India, before helping establish Kadence India in 2006. Over more than 20 years with Kadence India, Aman remained in the CEO role while overseeing the company’s growth, client relationships, and long-term development across the Indian market.
Commenting on the transition, Aman Makkar said: “Building Kadence India over the past 20 years has been an incredibly meaningful part of my professional journey. I’m deeply grateful to our clients, teams, industry peers, and everyone who has been part of that journey. While I’ll be stepping back from full-time operational leadership, market research remains very close to me, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
During the transition period, Kadence International and its parent company, Cross Marketing Group Inc., will continue supporting the India business, with Katsunori Shimomura serving as Acting Country Manager alongside the wider leadership team to oversee clients, teams, and ongoing operations.

While stepping back from day-to-day operational leadership, Aman intends to remain connected to the industry through mentoring, advisory work, and broader industry participation. Outside of the industry, he also intends to spend more time with family and friends, follow his beloved cricket a little more closely, and create more space for personal priorities and interests beyond day-to-day operational leadership.
